Jedediah Smith Memorial Bicycle Trail.
Extending from Old Sacramento to Beal's Point at Folsom Lake, Jedediah Smith Memorial Bicycle Trail offering 23 miles of scenic trails for bicyclists, hikers, equestrians and other foot traffic. This versatile and beautiful parkway is virtually unlimited in its recreation scope.


Sacramento Convention Center. Located in the heart of downtown, Sacramento Convention Center includes 134,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, 31 meeting rooms, an outdoor garden terrace adjacent to an elegant 24,000 square-foot ballroom, and two 10,000 square-foot registration/prefunction areas. The complex includes the 4,000-seat Memorial Auditorium and the 2,452-seat Community Center Theater. A historic landmark, Memorial Auditorium is a multi-use venue that has housed a variety of events, including the Shrine Circus, college basketball, professional boxing, and a variety of concerts, including Prince, Dave Matthews, Melissa Etheridge and Chris Rock. With superb acoustics and three seating levels, the 2,452-seat Community Center Theater has been a popular venue for audiences since its opening in 1974.
Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary. Since 1963, this small, unique California zoo has been providing sanctuary to very special animals - many rejected as wild pets or orphaned in the wild. Not a mainstream zoo, the sanctuary promotes responsible and appropriate human behavior toward all animals and teaches about common and uncommon animals, both wild and domestic, and includes those in between like feral pigs and wolf-dog hybrids. Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge. Ninety miles north of Sacramento, the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge Complex consists of five national wildlife refuges and three wildlife management areas that comprise over 35,000 acres of wetlands and uplands in the Sacramento Valley of California. Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park. Sutter’s Fort commemorates the Gold Country’s and Sacramento’s earliest settlement, founded by John Sutter in 1839, where early immigrants were welcomed to Sacramento.
